As of this evening, Trump/Barr will release “only what is legally possible”. Barr’s executive privilege claim will be sent to the courts, and the impeachment inquiry will stall, unless another player emerges.
Barr is probably correct, as the statute applies to misconduct within the intel community. Trump is not covered by the statute. Dems may need actual whistleblower to testify in committee, as Senate Intel is demanding.
