ABC’s This Week interview with Trump voters in Ohio says it all. “We support Trump because he talks like us.”
Exactly. Grown adults with elementary schools minds. Too lazy to read a newspaper – any newspaper – print or online. Too lazy to ask a question. Too lazy to join a group for discussion. Lazily crying in their beers. Too overweight to realize that their militiamen will get stomped by any police unit. Too lazy to unionize for better pay. Too lazy to question their congressmen as to why there aren’t better jobs in their town. Just plain lazy.
Not a single one of these losers would have made it in 1776. At least then, our rural and urban patriots read, discussed and acted – even after a night at the Inn. We cannot blame our public education system. The students receive lessons from the overwhelmingly competent teachers. The students don’t listen. They return home to dysfunctional parents and revert to drugs. They don’t do homework. They don’t write even short notes, except emojis on their phones. Entire families are literate to the 5th Grade level. Of course they will vote for Trump. They are lifetime lazy losers.
What to do with this electorate? Will education help? What about the loser parents? Probably the best option is weeding out promising children for “special” school options so that they are exposed to the real world, not Trump’s fantasy Reich that dominates their home. The chain of ignorance must be broken. Of course, a quick partial answer is providing better job opportunities in the small cities and rural areas. $8.50 per hour is obscene. Still, the parents must exhibit some ambition beyond crying in the beer and claiming victimhood.
