Any capitulation to McConnell and Trump will deflate and divide the revived Democrat base, especially in view of the cracks appearing in the GOP façade. Not to speak of the Swiss cheese leaks and DJT’s continuing buffoonery. Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch is more than slightly out of the mainstream. Cabinet picks Price and Mnuchin are outright outrageous, as back in Chicago we had a name for those types. Neither DeVos nor the EPA guy have presented any practical policy recommendations. We don’t “owe” the GOP their Scalia seat, rather, we owe something to the majority of voters. What kind of joke is this? Re-reading the Federalist Papers today makes me ill, no, reinvigorated.
