As further investigation of available witness testimony is now precluded, the GOP stands facing the abyss, without realizing it. The actual truth of the incident (or incidents) will remain unknown, although Dr. Ford appears to evoke greater credibility. What the GOP is overlooking, however, is Kavanaugh’s “judicial” temperment, which is barely fitting for a redneck trial judge in Northern California, Kentucky or South Carolina. His arrogant confrontation with United States Senators has sealed the GOP fate, and will be marked by future historians as the official beginning of our Second Great Civil War.
These next dozen or so years will be dominated only temporarily by Democrat “moderates” such as Booker and Harris. What is boiling below the surface is the eventual deluge of true radicals: the current school-age young who are witnessing the Trump-McConnell spectacle while they are learning the 20th Century histories of Hitler and Stalin. These children are not stupid, but they may not be learning the lessons of our original revolution, the restoration of the Rights of Englishmen in our colonies. Rather, they are learning the lessons of Third World liberation movements and systematic and systemic racial suppression. And they do recognize the hypocrisy of our own “Federalist Society” , which itself intentionally denies our Federalist Papers legacy.
Our impending future: either Paris of 1789 or Berlin of 1945. Abraham Lincoln in 1865 hoped to heal by halting Sherman’s quest to burn the entire Confederacy to the ground and taking no prisoners. This next generation will possess no such sympathy. There will be no white “gentlemen” left to erect statutes of Trump, McConnell, Grassley, Hatch or Graham.
