Of course there have been many recent heroes – the Vindmans, Fiona Hill, Ambassadors Taylor and Sondland to name just a few. However, it is Trump’s own paranoiac rage that is most assuredly causing hesitation in some government locales. To wit, the apparent sudden 86-ing of Rudy Giuliani by both the DOJ and the GOP Senate. The latter’s re-election strategy to retain control of the Senate is “Trump without Trump and Giuliani”, which is a gambit to reach independent voters.
To upset this GOP strategy, additional GOP figures must now step forward to either denounce the GOP cowardice or confirm their support of a Democrat candidate. Odd that today TCM ran “Gentleman’s Agreement” from 1947, where our Greatest Generation decided to stand for, as Adam Schiff has so eloquently stated, what is right.
