In 2008, BHO and McCain garnered 130 million votes, while HRC and DJT together tallied only about 122 million. Whence the missing 8 million? It’s not just “The Economy”, but the promise of a better future for “Flyover” country. Go ahead and eat your “equality” and “justice” ideology, make mine a ham sandwich and a new truck.
What the Dumb Dems haven’t learned is that the cited ideological terms are only significant when the working class is experiencing progress, not hope, at which time they cede the “issues” to the smarty-pants elites. Here, the Los Angeles Times poll of voter intensity was, fatally, instructive. Alas, all is not lost, as the Smart Dems and DJT may yet work a deal to calm the roiling Great Lakes waters and return the 2018-2020 cycle to “equality” and “justice” issues for the effemine non-voters.
