IRS confirmed today in a press conference that Donald Trump’s pending income tax liability, in combination with his pending default of the Trump Tower mortgage, the IRS will settle the case by transferring the property to the HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement. The site is to be used to house Central American refugee asylum applicants who are currently scattered in various camps in Mexico. As part of the settlement, twelve Russian oligarchs who occupy the 37th through 40th floor penthouses will be allowed to remain in their units, while 14 others in other floors have accepted financial settlements to vacate their units. Former Trump White House adviser Steven Miller has been assigned by the court to coordinate the transition from the Trump Organization to the ORR.
